Budget Travel cancels holiday at 4 weeks notice!!

    I am fuming. :mad: My mother and father have had there holiday to Egypt cancelled at four weeks notice and they have already spent 300 Euro on visas and vaccinations! I think this is unbelieveable carry on. Does any one know whether they are entitled to compensation for the money they have spent?

    Anyone reccomend an agent that does package holidays to Egypt?

    Check your insurance.

    Insurance probably isn't relevant and under BT's T&Cs they have given sufficient notice.

    I'd take a look at Sunway and/or Lastminute.com

    Worth taking a look at ITV Teletext too for trips from UK.

    Budget couldn't organise a pi*s up in a Heineken factory, good luck to you trying to get anything out of them, they are to customer service what termites are to kitchen tables.

    www.directholidays.ie have some availability, but it's not what I'd call cheap.

    The insurance doesn't cover it but I'm just fuming that they would cancel at such short notice (I think 4 weeks is short on a holiday like that)
    They have gone to travelcare now but can't get to Luxor which is where they wanted to go so they are going to Sharm el Sheik instead. I will never go near Budget Travel again though and would never recommend them to anyone.
