    Amp fixed!!!

    Summary:

Finally found out what was wrong with the NAD amp. Upon moving into my new house I re-stacked all of my Hi-fi separates. Upon doing this I noticed that the amp wasn't getting enough cooling. Took the case off and had a quick look inside. One of the power capacitors had leaked due to over heating. Ordered an upgraded pair (they were 15000u F and I got 22000u F) from www.hificollective.co.uk (worked out at approx €50). Soldered them back into place after cleaning the board they we sitting on and tested them.

Everything working fine now (tested up to 8 on the volume and had to leave the room and use the remote to bring her up to 10) and have the amp well ventilated now.

    Cheers
