Here's one that I'd be surprised if anyone remembers. Back in '85, if you collected a few tokens you could send away for the Top Trax mix tapes. Each of the Weetabix gang (Brian, Bixie, and Crunch?) had one. The only song I remember is Nick Kershaw, wouldn't it be good. Anyone?

My brother got a rather good one...which I until recently listened to a lot...Tears for fears-Everybody wants to rule the world, don't remember the other band names but the songs were Brand New Friend, Life is Life...Something about you...all actually in my opinion surprisingly good...Dunk's cassette I think!

    Ok...so you handled the tapes.....

Who here, besides me, was a member of the Weetabix club in the early 80's and cut out tokens from the inside of the boxes to save up for a Glow in the Dark Weetabix poster based on Space Invaders ?

I had all those tapes, and was in the Weetabix club. Best thing Weetabix ever gave me though was the Weetabix Atlas. Served me well all through primary school, and even a bit of secondary school.

I had a few of the tapes as well with some of the songs already mentioned.
I also had the glow in the dark poster for ages on my bedroom wall. Was it not a competition that you entered based on the space invaders theme and everyone that entered got a poster or did you just save tokens and send away? I thought it was a competition and was so excited when I got the poster thinking I'd won. Brilliant!!

Edit: As far as I can remember the prize for the competition was some kind of games console. Nor sure what kind though.
