Another paypal related question

Hope this is in the right forum but I have a paypal related query which several posters have almost answered in previous threads, so I am hopeful that someone might be able to help.

My better half is looking to transfer money from her card to my bank account. Long story, but that is the situation. Its for a nice bit of money. Now she tried to withdraw the maximum amount and was charged for the pleasure. Ok, she hadnt waited for the credit card to be in credit before withdrawing the money.

So we were thinking that paypal might be an easier way to transfer the money from her credit card to my bank account. I was hoping that someone on here might be able to guide me on the negatives associated with this plan.

We both have paypal account for ebay essentially, but I was wondering if there were any extra fees (commission) for withdrawing money from your paypal account. On the site it states that it is free to withdraw money to an Irish bank account but someone had told me before that there are fees involved in the transaction.

Can anyone advise? Is it still easier for my better half to withdraw money from her credit card and deposit into my bank account. It will mean a couple of trips due to the amount involved but would it still be cheaper.

    Many Thanks for reading this.

There might be hefty fees involved, will try and root up some info for you later. Do you have a standard Paypal account?

Thanks Ruu. Yeah, costs to withdraw money. Withdrawing from credit card - although a pain in ass - was cheaper. Especially now that my girlfriends card is in credit.
