    Hiya,
for some reason my PC that is connected wirelessly to my router cannot browse the web, sign into messenger but can however log into skype and make calls and run downloads from azureus, obviously i shut down azureus and tested again but no joys, i restarted the pc and this didnt help, i also rebooted/setup the router, i even tried connecting directly to the router via ethernet and still no help. what is wrong? in a funnier twist it must be the PC thats at fault cause i can web browse using a laptop now connected to the router via ethernet, im really annoyed, the PC only has important processes running, i terminated everything else and it very doubtfull that its a virus as i only ran a scan yesterday and dealt with only some minor spyware, when i left this morning i left the PC on downloading, this is only happening since i came home. iv also shut down all firewall and anti virus software.
    Nicky

go to dos prompt ,type cd\ enter, ip config /renew, or ipconfig /renew /all ,then exit enter.press enter after each command.IF THAT doesnt work try using another browser ,firefox , opera ,I.E. has a habit of attracting virus,s malware and spyware. TRY pinging your isps ip adress or google.ie ,try browsing boards.ie, your homepage may be unreachable, for various reasons, like last week yahoo uk was disconnectted from ibb customers fopr some reason.dos prompt is in programs/ acessorys.

Strange, I couldn't get on the web for the last few hours (through wireless connection) or send email. Then, voila, it came right, without me doing anything. What's happening?!

wireless dropping could be something to do with signal strength or interference. If you have cordless telephones they can cause a lot of interference.. you could try changing your wireless chanel..

as for your problem with internet access... could it be anything to do with your firewall??
