Discovery Channel problem

I got a Media Center laptop and TV all works fine except for discovery channel. It's ok for a couple of seconds and then the screen just turns white. The picture will intermittently return but it mostly just stays white. I don't think it's a poor signal as when the picture does show it's quite clear. I also tried using…

I also tried using K!TV which let me fine tune the frequency but it didn't make any difference.

Is there any reason why discovery (i'm on ntl btw) should be different to the rest of the channels? It's kinda pissin me off as i probably watch discovery more than all the other channels put together!
