My rent is €550, which is half of the rent of a 2 bed apartment in Ashtown Dublin 7 (Dublin 15 if you're a builder or estate agent). My girlfriend pays the other half. I did vote €1100 by accident.

Yeah you get more for your money in Galway. I lived there for a number of years up until recently. Rented a great place by the docks, a townhouse and was only paying E350 p/m. Had double bed and en-suite. savage!

I pay 550 as half of the rent for a 2 bed apt in D4. My other half pays the other half.

€325 each for a three-bed townhouse, Galway city centre (and I mean literally 2 mins walk from Eyre Sq), including off-road secure parking space for the car, and bin collection. Pretty sweet.

I'm the lease holder on a 3 bed house opposite DCU, which the greedy fook of a landlord has converted into a 4 bed.

€1350pm for the house incl refuse, excl bills.

Location is decent, but the house I'd give 3.5/10 for the shape its in, and I'm starting to resent paying the rent at this stage :(

€450 as a half of a rent for 1 bedroom apartment in D20 shared with my gf. I voted for €900 by mistake

I share a double room with ensuite in Dalkey with my other half. We pay €300 each. Not bad for such a nice area of Dublin!

1250 for 2 bedrooms in big new-ish apartment in malahide with parking and patio.
    one bathroom is ensuite

seems to have extra space compared to town... kitchen is bigger with eatign space and separate living room.

    downside is
    badly built with noisy neighbours.
not really noisy as in party but we can hear *everything* and they keep odd hours.
last night it was washing machine at midnight which means we have to move rooms to sleep.

    /ds

950 between my girlfriend and me. Two room apartment in Georgian house in Ballsbridge. Cable washing machine bins included. Reasonable size and quiet enough.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,977 ✭✭✭rocky

125 pw for a 3bed in Galway, other 2 tenants pay 95 pw total, so me + gf pay 30 pw, 60 euro/month each.

I would pay 125 pw even if there were no other tenants...

350pm for me to share a room in a 3-bed in Smithfield. Looking at the prices of the apartments in the area, it's actually quite cheap.

Myself and my partner pay e1200 per month for a tiny ONE bed apartment in Dublin 2 - absolute rip-off considering there was another apartment (two bed, two bath, actual life size kitchen, etc) going at the same time we got this place in Shelbourne Park for e1400 and we could have got another person in to share the rent... suppose its only 8 mins walk for me to work tho and the other half has a 15 min walk...

four of us share what is meant to be a 3 bed but is now a 4 bed after the land lady cut the sitting room in half to fit an extra room! anyway its very closer to merrion sq. rent is 400 per month each (so 1600 in total for the house). Not in fantastic condition but is in a great location.

Mine is €360 for a single room in Glasnevin. It's a nice house in an estate, bills not included but v close to town (35 mins walk).

Was paying €400 for a double room but the house wasn't great. One of the rooms downstairs was converted into a bedroom. Though I suppose it was pretty cheap.

Happy enough with what I've got now means I can save even more for my own house!

300 per month for City Centre apartment. Sharing the room with my girlfriend so the room price is 600. Not so bad given it's right beside Connolly Station.
