Is it my dish or the service?

Can anyone please tell me if their digital (BBC, ITV etc.) has gone bad today, Sunday 14th January? I just need to know if it's me dish or the service itself. All channels are affected. Sigal strength and quality are fine, if that's a reliable indicator. It's picture and sound breakup and it's bad.

If it's a sky box, disconnect from mains, wait 5 mins.,reconnect.

I did disconnect from mains earlier, for about a minute only though. I'll try giving it a good rest then.

Dish possibly became misaligned in the windy weather.

Yes, it's still gone. Probably was the wind. I don't fancy climbing up there today in the wind and rain.

I'm looking at some web guides for aligning a dish. Another thing I wanted to do though is take more connections off the dish. Could any of you please tell me what I need for the dish to do this?

for more connections you need a quad output lnb suitable for your dish as well as cable and F connectors

Thanks. I've had a look at the dish and it doesn't seem to have moved in any direction, and signal quality is as good as it always was. Still no signal.

The signal quality meter on the digibox isn't the best guide.

If it's not misalignment, it could be faulty LNB or water ingress in the cable.

It's the digibox. I tried a neighbour's digibox and it worked. Both mine and the neighbours digiboxes were Pace Sky boxes from around 2000AD. It's strange that it should go like that.

If you have any recommendations on the kind of digibox I should get then I'd like to know. I don't use Sky, just the free channels.
