    Hi Merrion

A friend of mine is looking to buy a GT6. It would be his first classic. What would be the going rate for a decent one and are there any available in Ireland or NI? Or would it be best to import one from GB?

any advice would be much appreciated.

    cheers

The Triumph Sport Six club is the best resource to start from - there aren't all that many of them around so be prepared to look for the right one and to travel to the UK - £4k will get you a very good example. You can get them under £2.5k but you'll spend that again if there's any rust on the cills or in the rear bodyshell.

hi merrion, did you ever get yours back on the road?

that engine crane i bought from you has been one of the handiest yokes i've bought in the last few years by the way

My GT6 has b.e.r. rust in the rear of body shell so I have sent it to the UK to have a specialist rebuild that area. (J W G Engineering in Lincolnshire)

Glad the engine hoist worked out for you - I wish I had the space to do my own work but....
