Well I may do, it depends on the player. I assume you have no reads seeing as you didn't mention any in the op. Do you think he has a set or Ace rag?

Against an unknown player I would probably just call on the river but it's marginal.

I would prefer a bigger raise pre-flop though, making it 9 or 10 seems a bit better to me.
Also your playing 1/2 online, you have moved up quickly!

no no reads, and I never got around to mining this level so no stats.

I think the only hand calling me is a house as it's unlikely he limped a10+, I think he has a busted flush/straight draw. He's probably raising most aces on the button.

raise more pre-flop and id fire on the turn aswell. Why did you check the turn?

    ok?

I fold here but I think your decision to call is very read dependant, the only thing you beat is a bluff here and he calls a decent sized continuation bet on the flop which would suggest he has something like a pp A10 AJ or a possible draw

if he has missed the only way he can win the pot is by a bet but with no reads on the table id let this go

    Hand 1: Seems ok.
Hand 2: Raise more preflop, fold turn as played.
Hand 3: Fold river, its usually middle pair or something gay like that.

EDIT: .25/.50 to 1/2. Must be doing pretty well.

proper bankroll management is gay.for the most part it seems to be playing like .20/.50 with a few interesting spots here and there.I'll move down if I lose a couple of buyins.

hand2: firing a c-bet into 4 players is probably a bad idea yeah?

I was trying out different amounts to raise as my standard 4bb from 20/.50 didn't go down to well.decent enough winrate over 1k hands, would've been better had I not ran qq into aa all-in pf, was stealing blinds and thought it was about time for him to play back, d'oh.

for a bit of pot control, underrepping my hand, plus he's more likely to fire on the river if he misses his draw.

Yeah I suppose theres merits to check calling turn and river but with a scary board i wouldn't like to give a free river card. If hes drawing id imagine he'd drop it to a to a bet, if re-raised it gives us a better picture. if called id check call the river.

    How did it pan out?

Raise much more preflop in every hand. From the bb I would make it 15 there with AK, after a limper it should be 10 at least with AQ

Yeah didn't notice how small the raises were in the other hands, def raise much more as HJ says.

Do you really make it that much? Do you do the same with AA-QQ?
If only UTG calls would you usually fire 2/3 pot on a 3h5h8s flop?
