AGM M14 question

Stercus Accidit

Can someone tell me if they know if the AGM m14 is any good?
Its claimed to be a direct copy of the toky marui version so are the parts interchangeable?
I assume the overall materials arent as good but if they are direct copies I can buy aftermarket bits to keep it going.
Its 85$ which would be the main attraction.

i was so hell bent on getting that gun that i was reading ridiculuos amounts of reviews since the minute in came out, short answer ya its supposed to very good. its not a huge problem but its kind of an annoyance i tought that the barrel is 2mm thinner then the marui version on some particular part of it and so normal tightbore barrels wont fit and you'd have 2 get a custom 1 if you wanted a tightbore. the most helpfull reviews ive found are here

its a philipino site and sometimes they type in philipino which is annoyin but it is meant to be a deadly gun, im only having second toughts cos of the annoyance in getting a tightbore and well an m16 is a little smaller and lighter and thats all.

theirs quite a few threads on that site actually if ya have a gander. the kart m14 they mention is just the first production run of the gun you mentioned and alot of its minor flaws dont exist in the AGM m14

well theirs gunner but itl take ages tbh, then theirs a new site which every1 seems to love called www.rsov.com the guy either has em or can get em fairly soon cos lots of people are buying the m14 of em now. theirs www.airsoft-paradize.com which is a french site and atleast guarantees no custom charges and theirs www.sunnywarehouse.com that looks great but doesnt accept paypal though,not sure who id go with myself i dealt with gunner before and hes great and all but it took ages.

TM got a japanese manual...but still hotcake...don't be annoyed if we post it in our beloved language!

cheers sir , damn it i could have realy done with a filipino translator about a month ago id be reading indepth reviews about something like this gun and all of a sudden 1 guy starts explaining something realy important in filipino and im trying desperately to make sence of it

Hello…Im a newbie in this forum but now a newbie in these kind of discussions…..i was forced to register to answer a post here regarding annoying Filipino language….as I have read you have reached our site that discusses about airsoft guns and how to upgrade and we review every AEG released and unreleased individual here could not make sense of it because its in Filipino…well, it’s a Filipino site, run by Filipino moderators and 99% of its members are Filipinos......so don’t be saying our language is annoying…we speak English in your territories….too bad you cant speak out language and we do not feel its our duty that we should post it in English…you guys would just to have to be humble enough to ask us maybe just maybe we will help you…and don’t be posting anything bad coz we know how to treat bad posts. Ok I felt the need to wade in here, Scope merely said that he found it annoying when he was trying to read a review of a gun and the only one he could find was one written in a language he doesnt understand. Thats a fair enough complaint I wouldn't be too happy if someone tried to explain something to me in Welsh for example. He meant no offense and has already been picked up on it twice, three times if you count gunnerbunnys double post

So maybe we can all forget about it and get back to the business at hand.

You speak of being humble, yet the first thing you do upon joining this forum is to attack one of its members over something you picked up on wrong. You're interpreting what he said wrong. Maybe your English isn't too good.

He wasn't calling your language annoying. He found it annoying that the only information about the gun that he could find was in a language he did not understand. He found the situation annoying. There is a huge difference.

If you have a problem with a post, please contact a moderator or report the post. Don't ruin a thread with rubbish like this.

never meant the language was annoying as N.o.i.p pointed out, and i appolize sincerely if it looked like i was offending it, i have got quite a bit of help from Rambo on that forum who's word id accept as gold actually, anyways he was telling me the agm m14 would be a much better choice[for us atleast] since we wouldnt be anywere near as used to dealing with gearbox's like ye .

Sounds good so far, with relation to the tight bore a little bit of modification wouldnt be too hard would it? An aul drill bit down the barrel at the right diameter and presto!

That m14 is the shizzle tho, was interested in the p90 but it is a little bit fruity if ye get me drift, more metrosexual if you will than the m14, thats what they say these days.

I got the AGM M14 a few weeks ago from the girlfriend for Xmas
. Its an animal of a gun. Coke can test through both sides of the can.
Just having a bit of trouble sourcing extra mags. The G&P ones should fit but after butchering a midcap to make it fit, it wont feed the BB's into the breach.
Haven't tried a TM one yet.
The battery is ****e, get a propper one.
The gun itself feels very sturdy.

Overall, Im happy with it, but haven't shot it in the field yet.
But for EUR 65 you can't go bad. (EUR 130 including postage, but no VAT. I got lucky...)

I've had a good look at the TM M14 and its a very solid gun.Plenty of weight in it. the length could be a problem when crawling through the bushes but then, thats where the socom version comes in handy i suppose. Sleepershark uses the M14 and loves it.

What do you think of the TM m14 Socom? Nice way of getting around the length difficulties of the m14 but keeping the nice looks of it...

And no Scope, it is not horrific looking :P

i havn't seen the socom in reality yet but from the pics, its a nice weapon. if i was to get an m14 (not just yet) i'd seriously consider it but at the same time, the m14 isnt ment to be a CQ weapon so you need it long.....ah, i don't know. i'l have to get one of each and test em out.

The length of the m14 is part of why it looks good in my opinion.

no, not an m14.
The to get list is like this ATM, Pair of MP5K's, .357 Magnum 6 or 8inch model,
Mad Max Shotgun, like the one i posted in my Pistol thread and a VSR rifle clone. should have the MP5K'sand the .357 by the 3rd

When we were up in Predator somebody had the SOCOM, stood it up next to Sleepersharks and it aint really that much shorter there is only a few inches in the difference so I'd go with the full size one any day, well any day next year maybe as my airsoft budget is already set for this year

i agree with spitfire, the socom version just doesnt seem right without the lenght it doesnt realy seem like an m14

The socom looks nice though, the muzzle is very m1 garand which is what the gun was an improvement on so maintains the idea, if there was a chinese copy version of the socom id probably prefer it.
Its still looks nice and rifley if a little shorter, it looks better proportionally.
I like the overall look of the exposed mechanism and bolt, as opposed to most modern stuff where you can be left guessing.

i heard somebody mention that there was one there on the day but i never seen it.i think id have to go for the long version myself as i have other guns if i need to be sensible and get through bushes with ease.

Its such an amazing rifle. Even the bolt is amazing. And it doesn't really do anything. I tell you, if Mick wasnt so big, I'd have considered running off with it
