Digisender magic eye problems

I fitted a Digisender today which works fine - apart from channel changing. The sender unit magic eye has a visible led constantly on (or flickering very fast) which seems to be confusing the Dreambox, tried it with the original Thompson Sky Digibox but it seems to confuse it too. The response to the remote is very slow…

The response to the remote is very slow and sometimes wrong. Its so bad I've had to point it away when am watching the telly at the Digibox rather than the one in the other room where the other telly is.

Is this normal?, has anyone else got a Digisender that doesnt notice the magic eye constantly flickering ?
