    Hi,

I've recently moved to Ireland (Dublin) from Berlin.

    I have a triax 66cm dish/lnb/digital satellite receiver.
I am looking at have the dish installed in ?

    1) What price would I expect to have the triax 66cm dish installed for to face astra 19.2 ?

Would anyone know who would look after same ?

2 of my friends have other queries.

    2) What price would it be to install a motorised 80cm dish, my friend already has the 80cm dish/.2db lnb/receiver & a Stab H-H mount that supports dishes up to 1.2 metres.

    3) What price would it be to install a wavefrontier 90 dish (to mount same to a back garden wall).

I'm finding it difficult to find Companies who will look after same ?
Any infos/approximate pricing would be appreciated.

    Thanking you,

    Patrick K.

not sure about Dublin, but I couldnt find anyone in Cork to do if for a reasonable rate, so did it myself..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-k_yhxmGlEA was a good video for a dish install.

    Yes,

I agree with previous poster, I think you should try to do this yourself. There is lots of "how to" information on this board and on this website.

I agree you should try to do it yourself, most installers are reluctant to do installs with equipment they have not provided themselves for various reasons.

If your going down the road of a motorised setup, your better off setting it up yourself. Its bloody frustrating but your better off becoming accustomed to it because with irish weather, motorised systems are very likely to get forced out of alignment on a regular basis. Calling someone out every time this happens is not an economically viable option.

I you do it well yourself the second time, it may never need re-adjustment. My 80cm to 110cm dish upgrade last summer has survived all the recent gales without need to re-align. A Torque wrench/spanner might be useful to tighten nots enough without over tightening, though I never used one. I guess many years bolting things, I can feel the point of fully tight. (It is possible to overtighten and shear bolt or damage fitting or have bolt snap later in the wind!). Make sure not to use "cheap" bolts of unknown parentage. I bought cheap woodscrews once and after using about 10 put the rest in the bin.
