appletv with a normal television

    is it possible
    by normal i mean my 32 inch wdescreen downstairs 50 hertz standard definition tv which has svhs and composite inputs,,,, oh and scart too

    There is no SCART connection. If you have component RGBA points on your television you will be able to connect it, other than that the only connection method is HDMI.

    From a quick lookie on the SCART wiki page, doesn't look to me like you could do RGB over SCART (as component is actually YPrPb...)

    You're outta luck, looks like.

    *edit* me-wonders if you could hook up the AppleTV to an AV receiver, then via SCART to the TV...
    Also, whether the device is ONLY meant for EDTV/HDTV sets...
