    Saw these in Tesco in Mullingar, so the offer is possibly in other Tesco stores too!

    I only saw the 18watt (75watt normal) though.

    These Philips Bulbs are €5.95 in Tesco (buy one - get one free).

    Homebase have them for 1/2 that price @ €2.99 - buy one get one free (at least they did on tuesday (9/1/2007) last in Hombase Naas Road, Dublin anyway).

    Are those the enclosed bulbs Saruman? I got a dozen of the Homebase ones before Christmas but they are the poxy looking long thin ones, could do with a few of the enclosed ones that look like standard bulbs...

    No they are the thin ones. I use them in my house but since they are mostly covered in shades it does not matter, hell even the ones that are not do not bother me at all.
    I have to say i did not look at the price however €2,99 in homebase is a much better deal.

    I got caught, bought them in Tesco! then saw them in Homebase. sob!

    I noticed that in Tesco's that the offer is valid till 5 May or something like that, but couldnt guarantee it!!!
