Burning Dual Layer DVD+R

so i bought 20 blank dual layer discs but my burner doesnt like them looking at the reviews on the SVP site others complained that NEC could be problematic for dual layer dvd's. anyone have any idea on the validity of that claim or should i just bite the bullet and get a new burner

I hated my NEC burner back in the day as it seemed bad at burning anything, have you tried Verbatim DL media? I hear you should only buy that as its the best quality,

i bought Datawrite

working a treat now, minus the NEC burner (which was to be fair fantastic at burning DVD-R and CDR)

Try Liggy & Dee's modded firmware 1.WB for the 3540 it contains the latest DVD+R DL strategies.

Use Binflash to flash the firmware.
