DTT receiver degrading analog signal

Scenario: aerial in the attic pointed at Three Rock. Cable split using passive splitter to two TVs. No problems, good analog picture etc.

I plug in a DTT receiver and whatever it's doing the picture has badly degraded on all analog channels on the other TV.

Is there some kind of filter I can get to prevent this?

    Thanks.

If you're using a cheap plastic splitter, try a metal one instead.

    BTW
What type of DTT receiver are you using?, anyone know if some prone to radiating interference?

I am using a cheap plastic one alright, but I have an old metal one which I'll try.

The receiver is made by Kaon...

Are you sure there isn't a "loop through" that passes the signal back out of the DTT STB to the television for analogue reception? The only ones I can think of that don't are the older versions of the Pace "half-moon" and the Bush one that plugs directly into a scart socket.

There is a loop thru alright, but analog is affected on both TVs in the house. Funnily enough the signal from the loop thru is a bit "cleaner".
