[mods: I don't know if this is an inappropriate topic; I don't see a prohibition in the charter. If it's not allowed, feel free to delete with extreme prejudice.]

For those of you into documentaries and general adventurousness, there's a documentary on RTE this evening at 10:15 about my uncle's sailing trip along the Northeast Passage over the top of Siberia, in a sailboat he built in his workshop in Knock, Co Mayo. This trip completed an east-west circumnavigation of the North Pole begun with the Northwest Passage over the top of Canada a few years ago.

I haven't seen it yet, so I'm looking forward to it - and I believe boards.ie's own bminish will be making an appearance as he was a crewmember for part of the trip and the all-important radio base operator for the rest.
