I'm in the process of ordering cokin p stuff on warehouse ,but it dawned on me I could save myself a lot of money ,using the up/down ring adapters with the cokin set.
Anyone know where I can get say a 77mm - 72mm adapter ,or who stocks a large selection ?? I want to try and use my 77mm polariser on my 72mm lens and a few others.

    I've tried jessops,technikdireck,warehouse.
    Thanks.

Our good friends Gunns should sort you out. I got a 52-58mm step up in there for not much, €5-6 maybe. It also has the advantage of being metal so the actual filters are a lot easier to screw on!

JMcL ,thanks for letting me know. They always seem to have stock that no one else thinks of ,it's like a little magic shop .

I dunno what the price difference would be, but instead of buying normal step up rings for different lenses, couldnt you just get the cokin P series rings?

I've got a P series holder and a few filters. Recently got a 72mm and 77mm cokin ring for a few quid each. That cost of that adaptor thats in the ebay listing above would buy me 2 cokin rings with a bit of spare change left over for sweeties.

I always get my cokin stuff in O'Leary's in Cork. Theyre the only place that have a good stock of the filters & parts and when they see you browsing around the various cokin bits & pieces they generally tend to leave you alone as they presume you know what you're at. :D

I have a 77 polariser ,don't know about yourself but I don't seem to use polarisers a lot .I wreckon been able to use the polariser with my other lenses by spending a tenner is ok. Polarisers tend to be around the 40+ euro mark.

Also the cokin sets can be used the same way aswell.

I was worried about flare though ,the glass being that little bit further away might reflect off the lens ,but i don't know this.
