    Some Back info,
Have 17inch Dell Ultrasharp , its a couple of years old now ,still in good nic but its kind past its best, Not as bright as it use to be and some times seems to be ghosting in the background when playing certain games.Any way last nite got a 17 Dell Trintron CRT , hooked it and had go on it just to make sure everything was ok ..gona give it to my nephew , And I have to say WOW the image was brilliant , Im pretty sure i aint seen any lcd with at Quaility of image. Its so good IM tempted to go backwards in technology and Start using the CRT my self.

so heres the question has LCD actually caught up with the image quaility of CRT and will it ever.

CRT's are clearer then LCD's and the response time is also better. If you need the space get an LCD.

    Thats it really.

If your a gamer CRT FTW.

Well I'd say current LCD's are sharper & clearer than CRT's but CRT for gaming is still the king of the hill but not for much longer.

Particularly the latest high end LCD displays are now comparable to CRT's in terms of brightness and contrast plus LCD tech has been rapidly evolving of late.

Still it's pretty lame it has taken this long to get to a point where we only match a previous technology.
