I know from reading previous threads that there are a number of people on here who used to work for ClientLogic. They'll also know how horrible a place it was to work in. I feel sorry for all the low-level people being laid off but from my experiences, some of the management had it coming to them.

It was a sh1te place to work for in the first place. I remember goin for an interview years ago and I came out with the impression that it was a joke of a place. That was 4 yrs ago. I doubt much changed since then. Unfortunate and all that but in fairness things are desperate when you go to work in Clientlogic. Id rather sit on the dole.

I'd say the final figure will be around the 100 mark, or less, tho.

Stepbar - some of us would rather give a job a go rather then go claim the dole.

Clientlogic is hell on earth tbh the people were lovely, management, conditions and pay were a complete joke.

Theres better low paid jobs TBH. Id put it right down there with Mickey D's. There's **** all point starting a job and quiting a month later. Hence I'd rather stay on the dole, put the effort and stick it out for a decent job

If you hae a job, it's easier to get a job.

The youth of today have no idea what they're talking about.

Really? I started a job the very day I handed in my thesis, another good friend of mine done the same. Another guy finished his degree and a week later he has a job in programming. So thats not entirely true TBH. However there were other people who took months to get a job. It usually came down to the fact that their results were poor. However dont be kidding your self if you think Clientlogic is a great start to a career in computing. Nobody thinks of the long term consequences, you will be pidgon holed for every job you go for in computing. I know and thats why I got out and into banking. My CV was full of tech support and testing jobs and thats all I had to look forward to for the rest of my career if I had to have continued the way I was going. At least now I could pritty much move anywhere in banking with the experience im getting at the mo.

I disagree, a job even in client logic while looking for a better tech job is still better then working for the same crap money in the another sector.

I have noticed no long term consequences of having worked there besides the happiness that I will never do it again.

Not everyone would find working in the banking sector in anyway interesting or exciting.

The last job was at a cinema. For a year. Won't help me in getting a tech support job that much. Current job. Clinetlogic. 4 months so far. A year here will help me get a better job, so yeah, it may not be the best, but it will help more than a non-tech job.

Also, if you're not in a job, you'll be looking for cash, and take the first one that comes along (cinema job). Pay may be sh|te, and the work may suck, but it pays. Once you have money, you can then look for a job, be picky about it, cos your ass is no longer against the wall.

and to thinik they currently have advertisments for work as well.
i was interviewed by them about 6 weeks ago for a managerial position, but to be honest, i wasnt interested when i found out it was really only call centre work.

i did it when i was younger, i dont fancy stupid hours again.
