I was coming back from my lunch break on friday driving down the longmile road where I stop at the taffic lights to turn off to work , the lights seemed to take forever to charge. I was sitting at the lights in a bit of a day dream ( a trance) when all a a sudden there was a knock on the passenger side window what sounded like someone knocking their keys against the window , I jumped and noticed that the lights were green, the thing is that there was nobody around the neariest car to me was only pulling up behind me and there was nobody walking on the pats on either side of the road.
I just think it was very weird plus not only that I could feel presence around me all day.
did i just imagine this or could there have being some kind of ghost , spirt watching out for me.

If you managed to be so tired while driving that you could almost fall asleep at the wheel then its impossible to say. Your state of mind was impaired by your tiredness and whatever it was that caused you to drive in such a condition in the first place.

Driving in such a condition is incredibaly irresponsible and I'm just glad you didnt make any more 'Ghosts' on Dublins roads.

I must rephrase what I said I was just in a trance ( a day dream) not nearly asleep I will have to edit but what can explain the knock on the window even if i was asleep which i wasnt something got me to take notice of the lights

If you were in a trace or asleep you could well have imagined it. I wake up some nights to noises that dont exist externally, be them biological noises of a noise in a dream I dont remember.

As usual Rhona, noone here can say exactly what this was. Its most likely to have had a physical cause, like a stone thrown up from the road by another car, a bird poop.. anything really. But! Its important to keep a little part of you open and aware that it might have had an 'otherworldly' cause. You say you felt a presence that day. Care to tell us what you were feeling?

From the way you mention that you felt a presence around you all day, it sounds almost like that's something you're used to experiencing, would that be fair to say ? I only ask because it seems like someone who's open to these things would be more likely to recieve a message like that, if that's what it was. Of course the converse is also true, someone who's open to these things is more likely to interpret some random noise as a message :). Like KatieK asked, was there anything in particular you were feeling that day, or do you think the knock had any kind of signifigance ?
