Full Service for imported bike - Who can do it?

I brought my bike (Kymco Venox 250) over with me from the UK a few months ago and it needs a fullservice. I have tried a few palces locally but they will only service bikes bought from them. Tried BikeWorld and they won't do it either. The only Kymco dealer I can find is in the North and I don't really want to have to ride it that far.

I'm happy for any decent dealer to service it. I live in Drogheda but commute to Dublin daily so either location is good.

    Any recommendations?

    cheers

As a matter of interest, does anyone know what genius came up with the idea of shops only servicing bikes that they've sold? The whole idea of turning away business for no good reason (that I can think of) is just bizarre. If I remember correctly, this is only a recent development (over the past 4-5 years, maybe) too.

And I'd recommend either M&A Motorcycles (01 874 3731), or Inchicore Motorcycles (01 453 2973). Never had any refusals from either of them in the past.

Did you try www.kennedymotorcycles.com in Drogheda?

Thanks for the info. It was Kennedy that turned me away. You'd think they would just employ more people to service the excess rather than turn people away. I wanted to buy an alarm as well but as I hadn't bought the bike from them they wouldn't fit it...but they were prepared to sell me it! Madness.

I think the problem is that dealers are full well able to service the bikes so long as they can get the consumables, but they don't like imports because it takes away from their own business whether they sell imports themselves or not.
