Its nice and eye-catching but the floodlit area is overexposed I think. I'm sure there should be more detail in the stonework to see, the converging verticals are probelry unavoidable short of a very expensive lens!

Nice composition. The only thing I'd say is that the floodlit area looks a bit washed out, so the detail is lost, and the detail on the other areas is lost in the shadows. Perhaps a shorter exposure before dusk, when there is still some ambient light around might balance this all out, and still make a nice "night" photo?

It looks overexposed and the border just tacky-fies it.

Yeh, you need to tke your light reding from the brighter side of the church nd try expose for tht.. Mybe tke 2 nd find hppy medium.

btw, think the sky looks relly good, nd it's nice ngle nd everything too. But more simple border would mke it look less tcky, imo.

Excuse the missing a's, tht ke on my lptop seems to be broken, swell s my one key.. ugh

Well captured apart from the overexposure as the rest of chaps said. Keep trying. :)

I had a go at your photo:

I used a few adjustment layers to merge two different black and white conversions, did a little bit of dodging and burning and then painted in the stars to brighten them. Alas that a fair bit of the photo is blown out for all of that.

Nice composition but like everybody before me I think that it is a bit overexposed.

I really like what Fenster has done with it. The B&W conversion & removal of the boarder has really helped ........

That said all Fensters efforts would have been in vain if there had not been a nicely composed shot there in the 1st place!!
