    Hi,

Is fitting a TV out card to a Dell Inspiron 1300 (which doesn't have one) difficult? Or indeed possible?

I have a standalone DIVX DVD player, but it switching file formats to burn it onto a CD has become a pain in the arse.

    Thanks.

That just about sums it up.

The only real option is a VGA to TV adapter, which gives poor results. There are a few threads on this topic, have a browse through the last month or so.

Shouldn't it be possible to have a USB solution to this? Might be hard to find because most laptops have an S-Video out at this point.

I'm pretty sure I bought one for my brother for Xmas a while ago.

    You can do this:

I doubt USB would have the bandwidth to support it.

It's NTSC - does your TV support NTSC?

    European standard is PAL.
