What do you mean by 'black'? Do you mean the background to the EU stars?

Yea just in black and white.Black instead of blue and white instead of yellow stars

As described in the link above, the black plates are not legal - you will fail an NCT if you send the car in with the 'black' plates attached. Be sure to keep the old 'legal' plates................
