yeh they gave me the option of anyother event, but I think I'll take the cash and try to win a seat for one of the other events cheaply. You dont usually get to take the cash so its 8k and I'll take it and run.

Kind of answer the question from the weekend, if you won your ticket for the WSOP main event, would you buy-in or take the cash as the software house cant buy you in this year, so I've heard. Cash for me I guess and than take a good holiday.

I'm taking the cash above and might play a few UK events with it instead, better value.

Deauville has always been a very strange casino on the EPT... the people who run it are frankly, well.... its somewhere between "mad" and "incompetent" with a hint of "surreal" at times. I could easily imagine 10 different reasons it might be cancelled. :)

Also, the french government are a bit weird about cash games in France and there was a rumour they were going to have cash at the casino this year, which might have caused problems.

We're on the PS media mailing list so presumeably when they announce something we'll get it and I'll post it.

Normandy is a pain in the bum to get to anyway and with no cash games and no pubs in Deauville its no loss really.

Well I wasnt looking forward to the annual scrum to get through the casino's bizarre sign up process (remember last year?!)

It's a nice little town though, and IMO it was the best value destination (barring possibly Dublin) on the EPT tour.
