Can you be a bit more specific please?

What OS is on the pc? 2000? or XP etc...

By supervisor password do you mean:

    - a BIOS password i.e before the Operating system loads

    - or a Windows password i.e when you want to log on to the PC

    More details the better.

if its a BIOS password then taking the battery out may get around it
ERD Commander is good for resetting the windows password

Yup the old "Take out the Battery Trick" may work to remove the BIOS password.

But if its a laptop you make have some problems.

Also, Google for remove BIOS returns this.

Good luck and keep us posted

Remove the bios battery for about 30 seconds (5 minutes if it doesn't work after 30 seconds). The bios battery is the coin shaped silver battery inside your computer.

    Here's an image of one:

Thanks for that..and sorry if I sound stupid but do I have to take apart the machine and remove a battery? Are there people who can do this for you? Thanks again for the answers!

If the computer is yours, and is a Dell, ring them, their technical support will show you the exact procedure for your specific machine. I have been told before that removing the battery will not reset the password on the newer dell computers, but I havent confirmed this. If the battery trick does not work, ring them. Most computer manufacturers will be able to tell you how to reset the password on your computer.

if it's a dell removing the jumpers on the board (only 1 set) will disable the bios password. Just take them out, plug in pc and power on, it will come up password disabled by jumper, power down ,replace jumpers and power back on as normal.
This will only work on a dell desktop and not a laptop.
