A friend used to play with a guy who had a DW.
I always loved the kit, it was gorgeous, imo.
So, when I heard that he was selling it cause he needed cash I gave him a call.
    Picked it up on Saturday.

It's a satin oil kit, azure finish, all maple shells. 20x18 kick, 10, 12 & 15 inch toms, and it's so much nicer than I remember.
I got a Pearl Masters Custom maple snare with it, two Sabian AAX Studio Crashes, a set of HH Duo Hats and a HH Phil Collins Signature Ride, and an old Paiste China. Pearl Powershifter kick pedal, which is rock solid.
All of which came in soft cases and with a load of double-braced Pearl hardware. All of it cost me considerably less than an entry level DW shell pack would have alone.

I'll probably sell the snare, and have to decide what ride and hats I want to keep and which to sell, my own HHX Stage ones or the Duo's and Phil Collins.

But damn, it's a fine quandry to be in. :D

Christ, you did well there... How much did that cost you? How much would you be looking for the snare?

...but I got it for €1800.
    :p

Freebird, this isn't the forum for selling, keep an eye on Adverts, I'll probably get it put up there in the next few days.

I'll see about getting some pics done tonight...

    1800!!!!!!!!
    WTF????!!!!!
    You are one jammy dodger:eek:
That is crazy, it just shows you how cheap people are willing to sell for when they are in need of money!!
The same happened to me a few weeks ago, i got a pretty much brand new ibanez s 470 for 200 euro cos the guy needed money for college. It still had the plastic wrapping on all the hardware, only one minor ding in the back tho.
There might be a bit of a bidding war for that snare now:D
How badly do you want it freebird? LOL

Ya know, i think i would do the exact same thing myself, so i will forgive you.
We should start up a thread for drummers to post their setups and take over this guitarist/bassist run forum!!!
