Two cash hands played while on tilt - thoughts?

Hey all. Any thoughts on these two cash game hands and how I played 'em? No read on the villains, hadn't been at the table long. I was slightly on tilt at the time and so just didn't feel like going away to flop / turn bets (I'm usually tighter) and didn't have any plan during either. Yet I won both - please feel free to savage my play, I'm going through a rough week of play. I am a cash game novice - less than 20k hands over the past 8 months (when I started on cash). Thanks.

    Both seems aggressive and fine.
I'd bet the flop in Hand 1

I'd bet the flop in hand 1, as played seems okay

Hand 2, I prefer a raise here if you want to push him off, what do you put him on - Ak/AQ/77-99?

Betting the flop in hand #1 is pretty bad. I would just fold the turn

#2 I 3 bet preflop almost 100% of the time.
    I'd also check behind turn

Why is betting flop in hand 1 so bad (not criticising but want to learn myself) surely villain would bet an ace here or a set for that matter given the flop?

Normally the theory here is that by betting we get worse hands to fold. The only hands that calls will most likely have us beat so betting is bad. Also by checking we show weakness which may get our opponent to bluff with worse hands later on.

We also want to exercise pot control. What is your plan for this hand if you bet and get called ? If your opponent bets the turn will you now call ? And then what about the river ?
If we check , first we keep the pot small so we can call a reasonable turn bet and most likely if he has not got a ace because he was called on the turn will slow down and check the river.

Thier is an argument that says we should bet cause it just looks like a normal c-bet and will still often get called by worse hands and then we can excercise pot control by checking behind on the turn but i think checking is much better.

I would check the river in hand 1, there is no value in a bet, as you are essentially bluffing (unless you think he will call with worse than a pair of Qs often).

    Hand 2 looks good.

As others have said, you should just fold the turn in hand 1. I'm not completely against betting the flop in hand 1 bacause there is a FD out there and there are hands we beat that we don't want to see a bad turn (specifically a K). I probably bet 30% of the time.

Hand 2 is ok. Raising the flop is good too.

is there usually no value in trying to get a hand that beats us to fold in hand one considering there are 4 spades on the board

This is a good point. I believe as long as he's not a fish he can fold an ace here.
