Router access help

    Hi there.
Just came back to my college house after the weekend and no one is around.
Snag is that one of the lads is downloading something via bittorrent and its
hoggin all my bandwidth but his room is locked so I can't shut it off.
If it was a normal router I could just kick him off it, but its a magnet
wifi router and I've no idea how to access it. (No instructions came with it
as Magnet say they have set everything up and nothing should need to be
changed) Is there anyway I can stop this?

ps. He's running it on a laptop so turning off the mains power won't help!

Go to http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm, find the router there and they will give you the IP and default password to get into it. Better hope the password hasnt been changed though :]

Could try flipping the fuse on and off in the fuse box. That should reset the router. Though you'd want to be certain you're not knocking it off completely ;)

I tried it, But the router reset itself and went back online, and the lads laptop just reconnected again! Its alright now though, he's back in the house and shut off bittorrent
