    2.10 Plumpton

    Dunbrody Millar

Course and distancer winner this time last year, the going will be the same as it was then too (soft). Its in good form lately too.

I'm not sure about Dunbrody Millar, especially carrying 11-4 - when he won this last year he was 9-13.

I think i might have a little bet on Geevem in this one. Only starting over fences, course winner November, likes it soft, hopefully has a bit of improvement in him too.

I think Willie Mullins could be in for a good day at Naas.
    Black Harry 13.00
    Snowy Morning 13.30
    Hollywood Law 14.00

Might make for a good patent.

I did a fairly detailed assessment of this race last night, and posted it elsewhere so I don't want to cross post on different sites. I've narrowed it down to a contest between zimbabwe, touch closer, and pass me by. Luckyily Zimbabwe was 7.4 on betfair last night, and is only 4.8 now. I'm dutching with the three of them.

Zimbabwe cannot be faulted with its recent wins. Jay Harris has proved a brilliant mount since taking over and has a 75% record with it. It's a step up in class, but it is nicely handicapped and should go very close if it can handle the step up in distance.

Pass Me By has handled a longer distance than this back in November of 2005, and should be fresh enough for this considering how it ran in its reappearance this season. Cannot be written off if it doesn't jump too much to the right, however if it does it will make things hard for itself. I'm not going to write it off, but its jumping is a worry.

Touch Closer had a good win last time out and is up a bit in the weights because of it, and the 5 lengths it won by are misleading because it ran on well and could have won by more. Because of this it has a weight hike to deal with, and if it can last the distance off this mark - which I think it can then it should go close.

    16.60@8.0 (Touch Closer)
    15.45@8.6 (Pass Me By)
    17.95@7.4 (Zimbabwe)

    Total Staked: €50.00
Return if any selection wins: €132.83

Just some further info to help in the decision.

Mike Cattermole has tipped up "Pass Me By" for this one, (he tipped Silverburn yesterday) and has been on a good run of tipping form lately. It has also been tipped up in the Sunday Mirror this morning.

Currently available at 7/1 on PP so may be worth at least an e/w !

    Nicely done

He fairly jumped right, at several fences, and veered left on the run-in, but no real worries for you with the runner-up backed as well!!

    Cheers lads!

So I'm an idiot. I was in Hacketts today and some fella says to me that he really fancies Mister Top Notch. I told him to reconsider and have a look at Baron De Feypo, who finished third to Pedrobob and should like the ground as well - a worthy each way bet at 20/1. I walk out of the bookies, and by the time my guinness is poored it wins and I didn't have a cent on it. :o I'll learn one of these days, although I seem to be saying that alot hehe.
