What age were you when you started to consider things in your life such as your health and getting balance in life? What was your path in achieving such things?

Started going to the gym and lifting weights when I was about 16 but played sports aswell. Really took up doing weightlifting when I was 19 or so which makes me a serious lifter for just over a year. Still so much to learn and do...

25 when my son was born. up till then i was on a mad one.

my path was to stop the things that were dragging me down. excessive and drink + drugs and then started to ry and eat right and exercise more.

25 for me too. Up until then I ate junk food non stop and did no exercise at all. At the same time I was as skinny and weak as ****. Didn't do anything about it but spent a lot of time feeling sorry for meself and exhibiting "bitter nice guy syndrome"

When I hit 25 I think the realisation that I was now a quarter of a century old made me feel like it was about time I copped myself on and did something to change my situation.

One big help is the internet. Even though there is a lot of bad information out there it's still a fantastic resource for someone trying to educate themselves about exercise/health. It's a helluva lot easier to become informed these days than it was say 15 years ago.
