Moving house best options...tad complicated

Hi, going to be moving house and have sky+. I know the question gas been asked previously but this is a tad more complicated than usual...
    1. Currently have sky+ for greater than 1 year (i.e. out of contract) in my own house.
    2. Will be moving to a rented house for ~6-9 months (have not made up mind re telephone line, may not get one).
    3. Then moving to newly built house and want sky+ at a minimum. House is being built so will want to "outfit" the house to use sky in more than one room.

So question is what is my best option regarding sky (e.g. do I just cancel and wait until move to my own house and live without whilst renting (go mad me thinks)) and any tips for kitting the house out cable wise whilst its being built (may want to incorporated broadband also but I like wireless and its in the middle of of no-where so ain't worried about eavesdroppers.)

    Thanks.

Ring Sky or a decent satellite rigger to have your kit moved. You won't need a phone line unless you're buying movies from Box Office or using some interactive features.

You *would* need a phone line, however, if you wanted multiroom for those 6-9 months.

Don't order a landline -- you'll be landed in a 12-month contract. And I wouldn't go leaving a nasty like that for the people who would move in after me.

A few good threads about kitting out new homes. I suppose you'd be doing well to have several CAT5e/CAT6 cables in every room for broadband/networking as well as C100/C125 for TV and satellite. Perhaps run all cables to a central location where you could locate your digibox, DVD player, router, etc.

Well, you could move your current system to the rented house for the while you're there.

When new house is complete, cancel old subscription, and sign up a new one (might be a special offer or something) at the new house. Keep the odl Sky+ box to rig it up in another room perhaps, so you may have SKy+ in 2 rooms?

For kitting out your house, in the main TV room, have at least 4 drops of CT100 cable for Sky+, terrestrial and upfeed. A Cat5/6 cable drop for telephone or LAN. Or just run both a Cat5/6 and a telephone wire.

In a 2nd room you may consider ot have multiroom (maybe Sky+), again run 4 cables CT100, LAN and phone cable, as Sky Multiroom requires each room witha box to be connected to phone.

Then maybe 2 or more CT100 leads in master room and/or playroom for extra Skyboxes.

Also, consider wiring for any surround sound systems...
