So, no sooner has the old Metal Zone been sold, a new pedal has entered my arsenal.

Sounds really good, feels incredibly well built, and the switchless function and boost knob are very usefull features. I love the fact that it's got a pretty hefty spring, because on the Pod XT Live, I have to be quite subtle with it, where as the Tremonti I have something to push against, making it a lot more easy to get at inbetween positions, or to take it slowly.

Only problem is that it seems to add quite a bit of noise, and right now it's plugged into the only 9V adapter I have, so I can't run it with the ISP Decimator. Oh well, I'll probably just get a battery at the shop later.

I bet you like to take it slowly wha'?

    What?!

How much noise is quite a bit? There's probably some way to mod it to True Bypass.

Does the noise stop when you take your hands off the strings? :p

No, it is True Bypass. It's when the wah is engaged that it's noisy. Perfectly silent when I take my foot off. Anyway, just back from the shop and bought a battery, going to try it in conjunction with the Decimator now, see what happens. ;)

Also, fair ****s to the bloke who told me to go for this pedal, he was right, the voicing is perfection with the Fireball. I tried it first with the Microcube, but then fired up the auld Engl, and wow!

    Awesome sounding bit of kit.

    No, it is True Bypass.
Ah its not really, but i'll let ya away with it this time. It is a very high quality bypass, much better than that on most crybabys.

Alrighty, either way, it doesn't seem to dent my tone. ;)

Well, the ISP Decimator seems to have cleaned things up perfectly, absolutely fantastic little pedal. ;)

I've actually discovered that using a battery, rather than the power supply, makes the pedal perfectly un-noisy aswell. Something to do with the Morley power supplies being regulated. Probably helps them sell more stuff, instead of buying any old Maplin 9V connector. Anyway, we'll see how long the battery lasts before I consider getting a Morley adapter.

Not really, I think I'm going to go watch a movie, then I might consider recording something. Maybe. :p

Aye, love that pedal, definitly my fave of all the ways I tested and got it onsale in the States for $100 a few years ago.

Hrm, voicing is perfection with the Fireball eh? Perhaps another reason to get one. ;)
