anyone ever notice we dont get mega frost anymore?
u know the type that kills ur car and it takes ages to get the frost/ice off the wind screen of the car.

I remember in early november the ground was thick with ice and a lil snow now all we get is wet weather well at least where i am ("sunny" south east)

    And in North Wicklow/South Dublin.

I certainly had to de-ice the windscreen a couple of times and had to train on a rock-hard pitch too. :-(

I kinda liked the aul frosty mornings.. certainly made for interesting driving!

I'd take a frosty (dry) morning over a wet, windy morning any day! Feckin rain and wind

Winter is for cold and summer is for hot - get it right God! Right! :p

i think op is comparing last few years to about 2 decades ago

i remember as a kid there used to be 2-4inchs of ice on the lake every year, you could easily jump about on it

Global warming dryer hotter summers and milder wetter winters. It all adds up to no frost south of Glasgow in about 15 yrs time.

I'll miss the frosty-dry-see-your-breath-type weather I always loved it.

Still though look on the bright side dryer hotter summers.:)

Not true in Ireland at least. I recently attended a talk by Irelands foremost expert in climate change and from his studies it looks like it will get considerably dryer during the summer. This could lead to water shortages at certain times of the year in the midlands and east in ~50 yrs time. Also bad news for us in the West more rain during the winter.

True the colder months are usually Jan-March...so its more like no frosty mornings yet
I've had a couple of mornings I've had to de-frost the car before heading to work

Just wait until the North Atlantic drift packs up....you'll have all the frost you want then!

As with many of the effects of global warming, no one knows for sure....but its widely expected.

Here in Boston we've had the warmest December ever recorded. We only got four tenths of an inch of snow. And today and tomorrow it's suppose to be 17 degrees C! Nearly unheard of in January in New England. I'm not complaining though. ;)
