Well, what sort of stuff do you want to buy? Some places take it, like Tesco's.

If its an irish store or a store with an irish back office, they should take laser. Not too easy for international stores unless they setuo a specific agreement with an irish card processing service. Similarly its not possible for Irish online store to accept switch / solo cards from UK without major hassle (as I found out)
