Did a quick look through the forum and couldn't find anything relating to this.

So, where are they? Can't find em on komplett or pixmania. Have Creative discontinued them? They're a savage little player and in my opinion is the only good looking player about (aside from the iPods). Btw, I also hate the new little Zen V. They look so flimsy and plastic.

I assumed when the Zen V Plus 8GB model came out that it was destined to replace the Zen MicroPhoto, considering it's got all the same features (and more..?) - and have the added bonus of having 8GB of flash memory storage instead of a hard drive (faster access to files plus far less likely to crash).

My local Xtra - Vision is still selling them and they're on sale at the moment so I'd say check out them.

Actually I saw them for sale in Harvey Norman, Dundalk, just today (I work in the photo lab there) for €219 (I think)...

I presume the other 9 branches have them too...

I should have clarified. Where are all the "white" micro photos gone :o
Managed to track one down in Xtra-vision in Ballincollig (for 190euro too :) ). Everywhere else only has em in pink or grey.
I can't believe those little plastic kinder-surprise Zen V's are replacing the micros. In my opinion, the micros are about the best looking midrange MP3 players around. iRiver H10's are quite nice too but a bit on the big side. I like the look of the iPods too but their features suck in comparison and the Nano's look way to easy to loose/break.

They may be good looking but they're problematic. The original Zen Micro was the most returned MP3 player in the shop I work in - with most of the problems being either a fault with the earphones themselves, the headphone socket or a crashed hard dive. The MicroPhoto is a bit better made, with little or no headphone socket problems, but it's still hard drive based and it looks like Creative are trying to move away from that and over to flash RAM with their lower capacity (<=8GB) players - which can only be seen as a "VERY GOOD THING".

My shop dont stock em' anymore either. Those little Nano V things (tiny little yolks) Seem to be replacing them.

The green one comes with video playback (2GB) and has a screen the size of a large thumbnail

Just to clarify, they're not called the "Nano V", they're called the "Zen V" and "Zen V Plus" - and it's the "Plus" model (not necessarily green) that has video playback.
