    Has anyone here ever had to queue to get a passport renewed in the passport office? I need to get my passport renewed within a day or two. What are the usual waiting times etc ?

    Id go in as soon as possible. They can get it done in a day.
    generally you go in with the forms and pictures, they look over it, and then tell you to come back to collect it, as far as i know.

    if thats the case you will have to prove that you will be leaving tth ecountry in less then 10 days, ie show them your plane ticket. If you dont youll be waiting a while, ive sorted mine out just before christmas (about the 20th) and have been told that it will be posted out today. Hope that helped

    You can be waiting a couple of hours. it really depends on the day and what you need to get done.

    Go there and request an emergency passport, provide photos etc and they'll tell you to call back in a couple of hours to save you waiting. These emergency passports are usually valid for 1 - 4 months.

    Yeah I will have all the forms and photos done. I also have a letter form my company saying that I need to travel etc. What time would you have be there in the mornings ? Is it a whole days proceedure ?

    If you are leaving the country within the 10 days, you will need proof and will only get your passport the day before. It costs €50 extra for this.
