    Hi

Am travelling to Malmo and Gothenburg on a flyanair special, wondering if it is advisable to book a seat on Swedish Railways or can you just turn up on spec?

We would be travelling on a Saturday.

Also any tips for both cities are most welcome.

    TIA/BID

Have a look at www.sj.se , that's the national railways. They have full English support on the web. A ticket in the category "Just nu 2 klass" is the cheapest way out, they usually have seats in this category, and tickets are around 30 euro one way. Have a look at that web site - it's really useful. If you buy the ticket on the train you have to pay 5 euro extra, and the basic ticket price might not be the same, ie the seat number quotas in the different price ranges might have been filled up.

There might be a problem using a non-Nordic Visa, Master card or Amex to pay, but give them a call at +46 498 20 33 80 to make sure. They can also help you with sending tickets to foreign addresses.

    Good luck.
