Happy New Year to you all.

Am wondering if anyone can help here. We are renovating a 1950's house in Dublin. The original coving is peeling in places and has become patchy. We contacted a (very unhelpful) crowd to come and have a look and give us a price to repair. In fairness, the guy (a sub contractor of theirs) that came out was very helful and gave us a little tub of stuff to try and see if it worked, for free. It was in an unmarked tub, but he called it 'Fast Set' and told us where we could buy it.

We tried the little sample and worked a treat. It's like a grey plaster and is very fine to sand. They use it to restore and patch plasterwork. We went to the place he told us to get it and they say they've never heard of it. The guy who called out is a sub contractor and we don't have contact details for him. We called the (unhelpful) crowd that he does work for and they put the phone down on us as they 'were on lunch'. Are not willing to waste time trying to talk to these w*nkers again, but need to find this stuff.

Anyone any ideas what this stuff is - might be called something else - and where we might get it????

    Thanks y'all

    Dools
