I went up to Tara on New Years day to have a walk and clear the head, beautiful up there and well worth a visit. Heres two pics from that day, quite different subjects and the light was quite testing.

First one is a shot of a cross in the church graveyard 1/400th 70mm f2.8 ISO 400

Second is the first Lamb I have seen this year, was quite cold for the little thing. 1/100th 200mm f2.8 ISO 400 Both taken with a Sigma 70-200 f2.8

Really like the first one, loving my silhouettes lately! Although maybe a bit of a crop from the bottom?

I agree with Wez there. First one is pretty nice.
Second one, not too sure. Nice and sharp, good position, but maybe needs
something else other than all the grass. I dunno :)

Probably on second one I was shooting downhill and no option to get down low. I left my black bin liner in my other bag, that usually serves as something to lie down on. I was pretty happy to get it nice and sharp at 1/100th @ 200mm. It was freezing that day. Thanks for the comments

Sorry for invading your thread, Borderfox. You just reminded me a nice (IMHO) shot I made on the hill of Tara about three years ago:

I like the lamb one too, the first one seams a bit blurry to me !

Although it has the look though of a Heavy metal album cover !

Yeah has a bit of a Slayer look to it.
