What about the Ibanez Artcore range? These are all semi-hollows and hollowbody electric guitars. I have the AG85. This is at the higher end of the cost scale for the Ibanez artcore series, but there are ones closer to your price range also. They have a beautiful acoustic sound, I mean really sweet, deep old wood type acoustic sound, very loud for a hollowbody electric, very mellow and bluesy. Plus they have a low action and cutaway for high fretting access, lovely harmonics etc. And you can also plug in through proper pickups, none of this semi-acoustic pickup crap. Much better than an acoustic guitar IMHO.

    Just giving you alternatives.

    Hey there
    I got this guitar recently
http://www.thomann.de/ie/cort_mr710tf.htm and I'm very happy with it. Its plenty loud, nice neck, deep rounded tone, electronics are very good, etc.
Cant find anything wrong with it so far, so a one-sided review I'm afraid. €9 over your budget, but you can always chance offering them €300 for it!

I have one of these that I bought a couple of years ago from Musicmaker and i love the sound. I remember paying around €500 for it too.

It was recorded last year on a demo we did.

    Best of luck,
    Seany
