No one seems to be posting too many photographs late....

so I thought I'd change that.

EDIT: some information about the shot might be useful:

This is the Auditorium in Santa Cruz, on the island of Tenerife, taken on New Year's Eve just after sundown.

It was taken using a Canon 350D and the kitlens, the timer and a handy wall as tripod. The building is located on the sea front not far from the central bus station in Santa Cruz. There's a port right next to it.

I don't do the night photography thing all that much (don't have a tripod at the moment and have a moratorium on camera equipment bar memory cards until I've gotten over the guilt of a 500mm zoom lens) but I like this quite a bit.

I really like the framing, I'd love to see a larger size, just to get a bit more detail in there!

Fajitas, you can temporarily look at larger versions of it through Flickr at the moment...

    Ah, there we go!!!

Looks great big. Some nice dodging on the metal tiles would really bring it out though!

Excellent shot Calina. As Faj says a bit of dodging and burning would really give it a snap with a teeny bit more contrast. Great exposure!

    Hi folks,

thanks a million for the nice things. I'm going to give a go with the dodging and burning (not tools I play with on a regular basis) and see how I get on. Will post the results.

    Happy New Year...

I think thats a lovely shot - if I had taken it I would probably try a black and white conversion of it too. The shape of it/lights and tones in the sky are all pretty cool.
