A dvd burning question!!

    hey ppl

    is it needed to convert AVI to DVD when burning video files to a blank dvd because i cant get it working any other way!! any help would be great!!

    do you want to watch the dvd on a standalone dvd player? if so, then that's the only way...

    avi2dvd will do the job. or gordianknot.

    Google will find them for you. Both very easy to use, but i would suggest avi2dvd as it is much more straight forward.

    i tried avi2dvd and there was an error that came up and i looked at the second one u said and it said nothing about converting files to DVD it only said DVD to other files.... does the second one work to convert avi to dvd?

    GardianKnot is for converting DVD to avi, not what the OP needs. Can I suggest DIKO, a freeware avi to DVD converter. Works great!

    I think there's a program called Winavi out there somewhere.

    If you use Nero it can do this, its not the most user friendly way to do it but it can be done, it also lets you set chapters, menus etc. etc.
