    420 should last with them but it would be under a good bit of strain.

    you gona overclock?? if not i would get a e6400.

    I was thinking of overclocking but probably not until I upgrade the PSU as I didn't think the 420 smartpower would/could take it. I'm thinking get the 6300 and overclock it say in 6 months or a year, when I need to get a bit of extra oomph out of it!

    good point. i'll probably try vista as i'm getting a free home premium hopefully and i reckon it'll just eat RAM

    The 450W PSU that comes with it should be fine for the X1950 Pro.

    I'd save a few bucks on the motherboard as well and just get a MSI 965P Neo for £75.

    The money saved can go towards 2GB of RAM instead.
