My son(19 Months) has had a middle ear infection for over a month now and 2 courses of antibiotic:mad: . The doctor now wants to wait and see what happens. I want to see a specialist asap because am worried about hearing loss.
Is it normal to let these thing run there course and risk further complications?
Can I arrange to see a specialist without a referal letter?
If so can anyone suggest 1 in the kildare dublin area.
    Thanks

Your GP is the person who will refer onwards as needed, you are of course entitled to a second opinion from another GP and feel free to visit someone else.
