I guess this is a glamour shot of my wonderful cat. I've been working away at some portrait photo techniques and I had a golden opportunity to get some photos of Killer today when she took up on a window sill. Between sunlight and my new flash she was lit wonderfully and I got about 60 good photos (and another 100ish bad ones) before she got bored and went looking for dinner. I've done a fair bit of processing on this, especially around Killer's eyes, although I haven't sharpened the photo, as I was very happy with how it came out of the camera:

    A little help, please?

I really like it... but would you consider cropping the claw out? It really focuses the shot on the eyes!

Why on earth would you crop the claw out?

I found the claw a little distracting myself. Just as well I'm in the habit of saving the odd 200mb PSD file O.o

Hehe yep, the kind of "orly?" look. :) Well captured Fenster.

Because as far as I could see, the shot was about the cats expression and eyes. Having the claws at the bottom of the shot, took from the expression, and drew the viewer to the claw.

I think the crop works brilliantly!

Thanks all, Killer wasn't impressed. She took one look at the photo and kept on knocking stuff from my desk :[
