The MINI Club of Ireland is looking to have some sort of a Photography night, where the MINIs and their members are the star attraction. Most members will be taking photos, hopefully in a scenic location, but as we're all amateurs, we'd love some advice, etc. Plus, as a boardsie, I thought it might be a nice venue for a Photoshoot!

    Anyone interested?

Would be interested in coming along alright. Have to see where it is and when, but yep!

Advice-wise, bring polarising filters, macro lenses and wide angles. But then again, that's my advice for everything.

It'll probably be Cork, somewhere scenic, maybe the Gunpowder Mills, or the like. Fajitas, a bit of technical advice please, I have a Sigma 10-20 wide angle, what kind of polarising filter can I get for it would you know?

You'll need a 77 mm polariser. I have the same lens, polarisers work great on it, but there might be a small bit of vignetting. Should cost between 40 and 60 quid for it.

    Thanks Fajitas! :)

Ever watched TOP Gear and noticed all the car shots use a Graduated Grey Filter to darken the sky and bring more of the focus to the actual car.

Had one a while back for wedding work but it was only used once or twice and ended up giving it away to a friend.

Should pick one up for about 25-35Euro around town.

    Seb.

Lol, the camera crew in Top Gear use so many filters I don't know how we can see through the bloody thing. Most scenes are made up of ND Grad, Polarizer and a deep red filter...never mind the work done in FC Pro!!!

Have they changed from the Supercharger to a Turbo? Should they not call it an "Cooper T" then :-)

    Merv.

Nope. Because the original Cooper S in the 60's had no Supercharger, it was merely an individual model (Should we move this to Motors? :D )
