    reraise preflop,but if you don't whatever you do don't check call the flop with missed overcards

    Reraise preflop...bet the flop..i think you get more information / win the hand that way...bet the turn...fold the river..he has a a medium pair

    ok, should have rr pf, I said that... I don't think betting the flop is good, maybe a cr might be better. I thought he had nada so I called, he'd jqo.yay.

    I find these very hard to play OOP if they dont hit. I think you should re-raise PF and bet the flop and you prob take it down. If not I'm not looking to get anymore money in there

    As played you could check-raise the flop and bet the turn which might work but OOP with A high...could be trouble.

    Yeah its a bit of a case of trying to bolt the horse when the horse is gone. Without a PF raise AK on a board that doesn't hit is crap.
    I think its the most likely way of taking down the pot though - although also the most likely way to lose more money. I only play low levels and check-raising followed by a turn bet tends to scare people there. But again, the only hands that are folding are probably hands you're ahead of anyway.

    I suppose in general its a bad idea to inflate pots when you're out of position - and have no hand..lol
